EVERYONE READ THIS!!!!!!

EVERYONE!

First things first: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!

Ok, now down to business. I forgot something really important that I wanted to share on this blog yesterday!
Ok, so when Joshua and I were going to go to the store, we had to go fill up our car first, ok actually that has nothing to do with anything because actually what I wanted to tell you was that he was driving really fast and a little bit crazy and he wasn't using his blinkers at all and it was driving me crazy. Sooo on one of his lane changes I said "nice blinker bub" and he said "You know what, cars didn't always have blinkers" and I said "sooo....?" and he said "So we should use them sparingly, they really are a precious commodity." what a dork.

And everyone needs to hear about what Peter is up to because you will all be thoroughly amazed and jealous. Last weekend, he went to St. Louis and saw the play of Les Miserables. Didn't I tell you all that you would be jealous? He even made sure to text me and tell me how amazing it was just about 12 times. It just about killed me. But now thats all over and he is back to his normal life, you know saving the whales and eating pineapples all day long.

So thats what I have to post right now.

ok, I guess that I will post about our Halloween so far. Joshua dressed up as an angel and I dressed up as Joshua:

NAILED IT. even down to the socks and weird face. I'm just too good. I like the picture on left, it makes my hair look long.

Just Boo It

Right now, we are carving pumpkins. How then am I on the computer? Its called teamwork. I open up the pumpkin and clean out all the of the orange glop, then Joshua comes in and draws a design on it and then takes 27 hours to carefully cut it out.
This year, we are doing sports pumpkins. Joshua and I are putting the Air Jordan logo on our pumpkin and our little sister Emma is using the Nike symbol as a mouth on her pumpkin. I don't know what everyone else is doing. Probably not sports pumpkins. I'll post pictures hopefully sometime later this week.
Today, I wasted my day spending time with Stupid and his buddy Alex. We went to Walmart. bleh. As we desperately searched for a ninja turtle costume, we slowly got distracted and one thing led to another and we ended up buying a garlic rotisserie chicken (...I think...) and going to Alex's house and eating it in sandwiches. They were pretty good. After that, Joshua and I went to Halloween City and tried to find a ninja turtle costume, but they were all sold out, so then we found this instead:

Lucky for everyone, we didn't buy this mask. But only because it was $25 and we didn't want to pay that much.
So, since we couldn't find him any costume, he was forced to ask our older brother what kind of costumes he had that Joshua could possibly borrow. Apparently the best costume was an angel so that is what joshua is being now. As for me, I'm being a surprise. I'm kind of excited and I hope that it turns out pretty well.
I'm not sure if Peter is being anything for Halloween. Maybe not. But I know that he has been quietly working with our aunt to make a special Christmas surprise and I am so so excited to see the finished product once christmas comes.
OH! I also signed up to be a volunteer for the red cross. So now I just have to go to orientation, well actually I have to fill out the paperwork first and then go to orientation and then I have to take about a months worth of classes and then I can go out and do work. Yay!

Well, anyway, there is approximately 55 days and 3 hours and 45ish minutes to christmas from this very moment that I am posting.

(And Halloween is tomorrow.)

umm...well...ok.

well, since I haven't posted in forever and a half, I figured that I would just put up some pictures to show everyone what we have been up to. Hopefully no words are needed, but If you are curious, then leave a comment: enjoy!
Ok, so I said that I wasn't going to write anything, but I just have to tell you some funny stuff about each of the pictures I decided. So in this one, joshua is wearing these disgusting shorts and when he touched his toes they went up so high. It was probably one of the nastiest things I've ever seen.
Joshua finally shaved! YAY! he came into the kitchen and (showing me only one side of his face) said "I shaved, it looks good huh?" I enthusiastically answered "YES! then Joshua turned his face and said "but I think that I missed a spot." what a dork.

For mutual we went to cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point, so here I am with Joshua and friends.
This is Joshuas little attempt at doing a handstand thing on the side of the giant rocking chair. I think this is the picture where he almost fell off onto his face but didn't. He was pretty proud of himself.
We had Leah's bridal shower today. It went pretty well. We had a lot of fun.

So anyway, I guess this is me NOT writing about the pictures that I posted because pictures are really supposed to tell more than a thousand words or something like that.

Its Thursday and I'm ok with it

Its Thursday and I don't mind. I probably don't mind because fall break started yesterday, so its just kind of like today is Saturday.
But I'm so glad its fall break. I just have been needing a break lately, school is so boring. But its ok.
Yesterday, I spent most of the day hanging out with friends, then I came home and ate some pizza. It was pretty good. hmmm. Today I woke up at 7 to go and hike Squaw Peak with sister Mara. Its really beautiful right now because all of the leaves are changing colors. Its kind of interesting how no matter how high up on something you are, you still just feel like you can't see enough and there is always a higher mountain to climb. Well, it took us about 2 hours and 16 minutes to get to the top and about not that much time to get down. It was really fun.
Early this morning, Joshua left on a trip with his friends ("Ya! They're taking 3 Joshes and 1 Charles!"-my mother, gotta love her). They are going with the one Charles' mom to tour some colleges and see what kind of programs they have to offer, hopefully this will be good for him, he seemed pretty excited.   I don't really know what he did yesterday, I don't remember eating pizza with him. I think he went to the senior football game.
Peter sent me a picture of a trunk that he bought yesterday and I really like it. He said its about 15x15x18. He also told me that he got his first haircut since leaving home. I asked him how it went and if it was scary. He said that it was fine. I guess that a girl named Kayla at Great Clips cut his hair. I somehow just thought he might have a better story. Oh well, maybe next time.
The house is pretty chill today. not really a lot going on.
My Tuesday pie was muy delicioso.
I just spent about 2 minutes trying to figure out how to spell delicioso.
I think I'm tired.

Tuesday Pie

Its Tuesday. Although I generally like days that begin with 't', i think that Tuesdays have to be one of the worst days of the week. Probably the worst day of the week is Thursday because you wake up and think that its Friday and then the whole day is a bummer because you realize that you still have another whole day until the weekend.
Rereading what I just wrote, I guess that I don't like days beginning with 't' at all.
Anyway. The point is that it is Tuesday and I am already tired. But its going to be ok because fall break starts on Thursday which really makes today Thursday which means that I woke up thinking that it was Wednesday because I wanted it to be fall break. The circle just never ends! What a joke.
Ok, but for real, today was ok. I feel like I have a lot of extra time now that I'm not running after school. Its kind of annoying actually. I never know what to do and this is only my second day of coming home right after school! I think this is going to be a long school year. I did keep my day productive though. After much thought and a lot of walking around, I decided that today seemed like a good day for some pie, and my mom had already made pie crust! How perfect, right? So I made some apple pie and some cherry pie and they are currently just baking in the oven. I'm so excited to eat them (but mostly just the apple pie because I don't really like cherry pie).
For his sports medicine class, Joshua has to go help out at some of the sports games. So tonight he is at one of our girl's soccer away games. It seems like he is always working or internshiping or off doing something with his buddies (which doesn't include me sadly). I'll have to get a picture of him up, though, because he is growing out his facial hair for our school's "No Shave November" calendar. BLEH (and I hope you can all see my disgusted face right now)! I don't like it at all, he better start shaving if he ever wants a girlfriend.....jst sayin'
Peter, oh Peter. I just don't really know what he is up to, because guess what, HE NEVER TEXTS ME! But actually sometimes he texts me to tell me how long he has been gone. And that is just sad because then I realize how long it will be until he comes for a visit. He told me to plan something fun for when he comes out to visit around Thanksgiving, but I really just can't think of anything. What could we do? Maybe..............ok I don't know. I will probably use all of my extra time next week to think about that. But if anyone has any ideas, please share.
So, in the 40 minutes that it took me to think of blogging and then actually get this post written my pies have finished cooking (IT SMELLS SO GOOD IN MY HOUSE!) so probably I will eat those for dinner. yum.

Beginning Again

Well, here we are again, attempting to restart blogging. I'm sure that a lot has happened since our last post, but since I can't remember all of what it was, I guess I will just start saying some of the stuff that has been happening around our house more recently that I can remember. If you understood that, then read on!
Peter moved away with one of our older brothers and sister in laws about a month ago and will not return again until Thanksgiving day, something I'm really bummed about. I think that he is doing pretty good, currently participating in neighborhood watch....mostly just watching his house. He recently started work on BYU independent study and that is going good he says.
Joshua has completed many amazing (for him) feats lately; at the top of the list: running 3 consecutive miles. In 30 minutes. Yay! He is also almost a term into his senior year and still working hard, so good for him. General conference made him a little nervous last Saturday when it was announced that young men could now serve a mission at age 18, but with just a few hours of thought, he decided to submit his papers in February and be on his mission as soon as he could! I'm so excited for him!
As for me, I have just started my sophmore year of high school. I turned 16 at the end of september and my birthday present was my license, but since I don't have a car it doesn't matter much anyway. oh well. I just finished my first ever cross country racing season on saturday with a freezing cold early morning race. I love running! I have also just found out what I am going to get Peter for christmas and I am beyond excited to give it to him!...I just have to get it first...
Our house is also a little bit crazy with wedding plans, how fun, right? Leah is getting married in just a month and so we are all trying our hardest to help her plan and get things ready. Her fiance just made things official on friday by taking her (and most of the other girls in the family) up the canyon where he had a bunch of candles out. There was a sign that had glow sticks glued onto it saying "Will you marry me?" and then he gave her this pretty ring that had a black stone in it rather than a diamond-surprisingly gorgeous!
I know that there is a lot more stuff going on, but even though it is going on right now, I still just can't think of what I want to write. oh well, I guess if it is really important then I will put it on sometime soon. But I guess this is it for now! Hopefully there will be better stories soon, but until then, all I can say is......I can't actually really think of anything to say. hmm

Us Now

Well,
Things are going....
I'll leave it at that,
Things are going.
Peter is currently sick.
Joshua is currently still a bugger.
And Me,
Well, I am currently busy doing everything that Peter and Joshua aren't.

Joshua has been learning some sign language lately.
He can now sign two of his most vital words-
Fart and Joke.
Yes.
And he signs them to me every chance he gets,
Then he laughs like he is really funny...
Like a two year old would do.

Peter is still 'classily' funny.
That's right.
Classily funny.
He loves making jokes,
But they are always the
I'm-smarter-than-you-so-try-to-come-up-with-a-good-come-back
Kind of jokes and are often put together with his
'You're dumb' look.
It's hard to argue with him.

Words often heard around our house are:
"STOP IT!"
